We have new, 100% recyclable packaging

Erik Šimšík | 4 July 2019

We are doing our best to reduce our footprint. It is a fact that coffee packaging is a disposable consumer good and people throw it away immediately after consuming the contents. The biggest problem with regular coffee packaging is that it is not separable and therefore not recyclable, because it has both a metal and a plastic layer. Often even a paper label.

That's why we took the step to ensure that our packaging is 100% recyclable. The new packaging is now made of a single type of plastic, which can be separated and recycled, including the labels. We realize this is just the first step. Next, we are looking forward to transitioning to biodegradable packaging. But only in a few years, when we are sure that they will truly decompose and decompose only into organic substances.

Another even more important step will be for as many people as possible to come and buy coffee by weight, in their own packaging. That's why we introduced these great silicone bags a few months ago, which are completely waterproof and airtight. At the same time, they don't take up much space. And to top it off, you can wash them in the dishwasher.

Or for larger volumes, we have introduced returnable boxes, which have already saved thousands of packages.

We want to go in this direction in the future as well and we believe that thanks to the right choice of packaging, support for waste-free sales and reuse, we will be able to reduce waste from our roastery to a minimum.
