Goriffee is 6 years old this month. It's unbelievable how time flies, we are officially getting older! And such an anniversary deserves a recap.
Over the 6 years, many things didn't work out and we often went down a blind alley that slowed us down, like our second cafe, which we closed more than a year ago. Or the beer window on Nedbalova, where we were scammed. But situations like these teach you, make you stronger and more persistent.
However, there is much more that has been successful. We have been successfully operating in the new roastery for the second year, even though after two years it's probably not entirely "new" anymore. The Kaffeehaus cafe on Panenská is 5 years old this month, which is absolutely amazing considering we went there with very modest ambitions. We have professionalized many activities, expanded our team of nice and capable colleagues, and we are extremely proud of the results of our "less waste" activities, where thanks to reusable coffee boxes we have saved thousands of packages that didn't go straight to the landfill or incinerator.
I must also mention our partners, without whom we wouldn't be where we are. We are very happy that the best cafes all over Slovakia trust us, such as Urban House, Pán Králiček, Thalmeiner or Leroy. But also abroad, and we regularly send coffee all over Europe from Uppsala, through Berlin to Warsaw. We can say that our participation in events like Coffeefest Amsterdam or World of Coffee in Berlin last year made sense.
As I write this blog, I must say that we are looking to the future positively and boldly. And let me wish: happy birthday Goriffee and cheers.
